Carol Ziemer

Position: Administrative Assistant

For as long as she can remember, Carol has had an interest in the health science field. Just days after graduating from high school she began to train as an EMT-basic. Several years later, Carol returned to school to earn an Associate Degree as a medical secretary. After working for a year in a family medical clinic, Carol took a position with the County, where she worked with the Clinical Unit and Children and Family Services Unit of the Human Services Department. In addition to 16 years’ experience in the health science field, she brings a strong knowledge and understanding of County government and business. When she learned about New Vision Wilderness and explored the website, Carol quickly embraced the mission of wilderness therapy and is glad to be part of the NVW-WI team. Carol enjoys various activities in each of the seasons of the Midwest. Among them are camping, fishing, and biking. In recent years, she has added motorcycle riding and learning new ways to prepare their home-raised chickens her husband tends to every year to her list.

Sharon Olson

Position: Medication Coordinator - Northwoods

Sharon grew up in the Medford area. She and her husband Dan also raised their 2 daughters here. As a family, they dedicated numerous years as a foster home for Taylor County and a treatment foster home working with children throughout the state of Wisconsin. Sharon worked in a clerical position in a therapy department for over 20 years. Recently she became state certified in medication administration working in a supportive care position for adults with disabilities and a senior assisted living facility. Working with NVW is an opportunity for Sharon to again serve the population that she as always been dedicated to. She values any time she can spend with her busy family and loves going to her grandchildren’s activities. Sharon and her husband of 45 years recently purchased a hobby farm and started a B & B. They enjoy spending time at their nearby cottage in their spare time.

Position: Office Manager

Kim is a Wisconsin native that grew up in the southern part of the state before attending the University of WisconsinEau Claire, where she graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Kim came to New Vision Wilderness Therapy with a wealth of administrative experience, having worked as an administrative assistant for her father’s company for more than ten years, as well working in a clerical role in an outpatient clinic within a hospital setting. Kim loves helping people in any way that she can, even if it just means brightening someone’s day by making them laugh. Kim is very family oriented and cares deeply for the sense of community and family created at New Vision Wilderness Therapy. She appreciates that New Vision works with the entire family system, repairing broken relationships and teaching students to create and maintain healthy connections with friends and family.
