Meredith Cook, B.S.
Meredith grew up in the rolling hills of rural central Pennsylvania, where she developed a love and appreciation for nature. When she was young, Meredith’s family moved to southeast Alaska where she was deeply impacted by the landscape and by learning how a diverse community of people can develop such close friendships by sharing an experience in the outdoors. Meredith expanded her knowledge of the world experientially when it became undeniably evident to her that facing challenges in nature can be a powerful parallel lesson to help us face challenges in our daily lives. Meredith went on to completed her undergraduate degree at Slippery Rock University in Physical Activity and Fitness Management, with a minor in Outdoor Adventure Fitness and has been working with people in various settings ever since. Meredith is excited to have the opportunity to help students learn more about themselves and grow as they experience the outdoors here in the Northwoods. Outside of work, Meredith can usually be found reading and drinking coffee, connecting with friends and family, going for a run, or creating a healthy culinary dish.
